Steven Glenn Neidlinger

Steve Neidlinger, 63, of West Terre Haute, passed away Friday, August 4th, 2023, unexpectedly in his sleep at the home that he built.  He was born February 7th, 1960, in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He recently retired from the IBEW Local 725 after 42 years as a licensed master electrician.  He also enjoyed teaching in the JATC apprentice training program for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lisa Weir Neidlinger, who he married July 16th, 1983, two children Alisa VanDeusen (Alex) and Christopher Neidlinger as well as two grandchildren, Owen and Anna VanDeusen. Also, his Mother Ruthann Scott Hester (Chris), brothers Larry Endress (Jeanne), Bill Endress (Sandy), Terry Endress (Christi), Scott Neidlinger and one sister Kathy Endress.  As well as his mother-in-law, Rosa Lee Weir and in-laws David Weir (Deborah), Tricia Hackett (Bob) and Jeremy Weir (Mellissa).  He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews that he loved like his own.  Steve enjoyed woodworking, time on the lake fishing and working on the property.  He followed St Louis Cardinals baseball, played on occasional game of golf, and loved spending quality time with family and friends especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He never missed a birthday or anniversary.  He was the person everyone depended on. No matter the problem, he could fix it.   Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N 3rd ST, West Terre Haute, IN from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  The funeral will be held graveside with Pastor Joe Irwin officiating on Friday, August 11th, 2023, at New Providence Cemetery, 1751 N 2250th St, Paris, IL at 11:00 am EST followed by a Celebration of Life at the New Providence Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
