Patricia Joan Garrett

Patricia Joan Garrett, 90 of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Springhill Village.  She was born in Vincennes, IN on August 14, 1930.

Joan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and St. Anthony’s Alumni Club- The Nightingales.  She graduated from the former St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in 1952 and worked in the St. Anthony’s Pediatric Department for 21 years, and retired from Meadows Manor North in 1984.

Joan is survived by two children: James M. Garrett, and Jane A. Garrett-Cassidy (Brian).  She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Gretchen Snyder Chambers and Virgil Chambers, her son, John P. Garrett, special friend and fiancé William Joseph, and her beloved dog Corkey.

Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:30 PM with burial to follow. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.  In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in her memory.
