Michael Timothy Huffington

54, Farmersburg, passed away on Dec. 13th, 2021, at his home.

He was born on Feb. 9th, 1967 in Vigo County, to Frank Huffington and Nancy (Hoffman) Huffington. He graduated from West Vigo High School and lettered in tennis. He had served as a Teamster in Local Union 135 before continuing work with ABC Supply. Michael loved life to the fullest. His friends and family meant the world to him. He was always trying his best to help others in need or whatever it took to make someone smile. He also loved tinkering with cars, trucks, or really anything with a motor. The faster and louder it was the better to him. Michael never knew a stranger and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Adilyna Jewel Elkins.

Michael is survived by his mother Nancy, his children’s mother Rhonda J. Huffington, his two children Joshua (and Kara) Elkins, Sydney Elkins, his grandchildren Rhydlee, Loretta May, Anakin, and Timothy. His Uncle Larry Hoffman, his brother Edward “Franklin” Huffington, Niece Chelsea Sapp, Nephew Trey Pitts, and lifelong best friend Ed Hackett.

A celebration of life will take place from 11am-1pm on Saturday, Jan. 8th, 2022, at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN

In lieu of flowers, there will be a donation box at the Celebration of life to help cover the funeral and other expenses.
