Melba Jane Russell, 70, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Union Hospital.

She was born November 27, 1950 in Clinton, Indiana to James Edward Russell and Goldie (Pigg) Russell.

Melba was the manager at Square Donuts for twenty years. She loved to crochet. Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Russell, Jack Russell and Dwayne Russell; and sister, Claudia Cox.

Melba is survived by her children, Russell Charles Bradley Hodge, Steven Michael Shane Young, and Ramesh Elvis James Sandor; brothers, Phillip Russell, Jerry Russell, and Marvin Russell. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Greg Hodge, Rachel Neumann, Brian Hodge, Derek Hodge, James Hahn, Logan Young, Amber Young, Mazzy Sandor, Ivy Sandor, and Faith Sandor; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Mullinex will be officiating; burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Notes of condolence may be left at: www.fitzpatrickfunerals.com.
