Lori Jean (Thornton) Cooper

Lori Jean Cooper, 68 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 7:54 AM, at Signature Healthcare.  She was born July 23, 1952, in Gary, IN, to Harvey Davenport and Edna "Ellen" Thomas Davenport.  She was raised in Linton, IN by her parents Keith Thornton and Doris Breck Thornton.

Lori is survived by her husband Charles Nelson Cooper of West Terre Haute; her daughter, Dina Cooper (Jason Hedden) of Terre Haute; a brother, Mike Thornton (Tamyra) of Linton, IN; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Joan Jerrell.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen, with a graveside service and burial of ashes to take place on Friday, August 21, 2020, at 1:00 PM, EST, at Dunlap Cemetery near Dennison, IL, with the Rev. Chuck Cooley officiating.  The family welcomes memorial contributions to the Dementia Society of America, dementiasociety.charityproud.org, in her memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
