Lonnie Lee Stevenson

Lonnie Lee Stevenson, 81 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at his residence.  He was born in Birds, IL on March 21, 1938 to Alva Stevenson and Leaffie Like Stevenson.

Lonnie was a 1958 graduate of Patricksburg High School.  He had previously worked at Smith Alsop, Anaconda (Alcan) for 21 years, was a driver for Schneider Trucking, and worked at Westfield Steel.  His memberships include; ABATE of Indiana, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, and was a former member of Cruisier Club USA Chapter 20 of Terre Haute and later Chapter 12 of Clinton.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Joan Marie Belfi Stevenson whom he married August 10, 1959, a brother, Charles Stevenson, a sister, Lois Stevenson, and brother-in-law, John Mumma.

Lonnie is survived by three sons; Charles Stevenson, Williams Stevenson, Sr. (wife Darla), and Bernard Stevenson.  Also surviving are three grandchildren; Whitney Stevenson, William Stevenson, Jr. (wife Amber), and Travis Stevenson, as well as four great grandchildren; Abigail Stevenson, Madison Stevenson, William Stevenson III, and Xavier Stevenson.  He also leaves behind a sister, Rosalee Mumma, and a special niece, Kathy McCormick (husband Dave), and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, there are no services and cremation has been chosen.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
