Doris M. (Strole) Flowers

Doris Flowers, 90 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus.  She was born in Terre Haute on April 17, 1931 to Wayne Strole and Wilma Richardson Strole.

Doris was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening, cutting her grass, and loved her hummingbirds.

Doris is survived by her two children, Judy A. Flowers and William E. Flowers (Connie), as well as her grandchildren, Nicholas Flowers (Michelle), and Ashley Weir (George), and five great grandchildren; Mason Weir, Carson Weir, Gavin Flowers, Layla Flowers, and Micayle Haraway.  She is also survived by her sister, Charity Evinger, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Flowers, a great grandson, Travis Weir, as well as eight brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 6076 US Highway 150, West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Dr. Clark Cowden and Jim Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasantview Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the church.  The family requests memorial contributions be made to either Emmanuel United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, in her memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
