David Lewis Robinson

David Lewis Robinson, 55, of West Terre Haute passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 9:30 p.m.

He was born August 17, 1964 in Terre Haute to Dennis Robinson and Phyllis “Jeanie” (Allsup) Robinson.

Dave was a carpenter and owned and operated Robinson Construction. He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association (AMA). Dave was a well-known dirt bike and quad racer, having competed in many national events throughout his career and was still competing in the 50 and over class. When traveling to races he was known to never pass a Cracker Barrell Restaurant.  He enjoyed riding and competing with his sons and grandsons. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed hotrods, especially his 340 Duster. Dave was very respected in the field of carpentry and specialized in framing custom homes. He loved God and he loved his racing friends like family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Joseph and Dorothy Robinson and John and Noma Allsup; and his father-in-law, Mike Wilguess.

Dave is survived by his parents; his sons, Josh Robinson (Abbey) and Jeremy Robinson (Katie); and their mother, Donna Robinson;grandparents; his siblings, Dennis Robinson (Angie), Greg Robinson (Jolee), Jenena Parker (Den), Rachele Grassick (Don), Joy Wilson (Bo) and Susan Delattre (Will); his grandchildren, Wyatt Robinson, Madalynn Robinson, Bodee Robinson; 17 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles; his mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Wilguess, and a brother-in-law Mike Wilguess (Beth).

Services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 12:00 noon until service time on Sunday.
