Charley E. Hendricks, 84 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in Majestic Care of Terre Haute.  He was born in Pulaski County, KY on August 7, 1938 to Charley Herbert Hendricks and Blanche B. Measel Hendricks.

Charley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church.  He retired as Vice-President at First Financial Bank (formerly Terre Haute First National Bank), after 45 years of service, and received the Bank’s President Award in 2001, and he enjoyed raising and working with Belgian horses.

Charley is survived by his wife Patricia A. Williams Hendricks whom he married May 15, 1960, and their three children; Troy Hendricks (Darla), Susan Girton (Steve), and Ryan Hendricks, as well as four grandchildren; Eli Hendricks, Sierra Girton, Lexea Hendricks, and Laine Hendricks, and one great granddaughter, Hayden Hendricks.  He is also survived by a brother, Glendon D. Hendricks (Margot), Emma Ruth Rowings, Irene Cox, Christene Russell (Walter), and Rose Mary Shumaker, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Tom Savage officiating.  The family requests memorial contributions be made to Sugar Creek Baptist Church or the Parkinson’s Disease Research Center, in his memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.  In addition, the family would like to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks for the excellent and loving care extended to their loved one at Majestic Care North.
