William "Bill" Robert Farris

William “Bill” Robert Farris, 77 of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, January 30^th, 2024 in his residence. He was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin on August 30^th, 1946 to Earl Edward Farris and Gayl Jean Smart.

Bill worked and retired from First Financial Bank for 37 years (1974-2012) where he worked in management. He enjoyed golfing, skiing, loved watching sports and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patty Farris, whom he married on January 20, 1968, their two children, Scott M. Farris (Michelle) and Melissa G. Buchanan, five granddaughters; Courtney R. Baugh (Clayton), Alexis M. Campbell (Justin), Morgan A. Freeman (Peyton), Kelsey D. Farris, and Taylor L. Farris, and his four great grandkids; Bristol, James, Elliana, and Daxton. He is also survived by his only niece, Brenda J. Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl and Gayl Farris, brother Edward R. Farris, and son-in-law Matthew W. Buchanan.

Services for Bill are scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 12 noon in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3^rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885. Visitation will be from 10 am until service time at the funeral home Saturday. Pastor Mark Fleschner will officiate. Burial will be in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Caring Companions or Gentiva Hospice.
