William D. Daugherty

William D. " Old Man Bill" Daugherty, 76, of Terre Haute passed away at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday July 26, 2017 in Springhill Village at Terre Haute. He was born February 26, 1941 in Sullivan, IN to Mervin Daugherty and Mary Keller Daugherty. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law Richard and Robin Daugherty; a daughter Christy Daugherty; a grandson Nathan Daugherty; special friends Jim "Bud" Griffin and Kenny and Faye Alkire; his caretaker Tammy Barnhart; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae Lloyd Daugherty; two daughters Becky and Angela Daugherty; three brothers Luther, Ralph, and Dwayne Daugherty; and two sisters Anna, and Laura. Bill loved blue grass music, going to auctions with his friends, and bowling. He was always concerned about others. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Kenny Alkire officiating. Burial will be in Durham Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until service time Monday.
