Virginia (Cruse) Mitchell

Virginia Mitchell, 84 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Southwood Healthcare Center.  She was born in Terre Haute on August 4, 1937 to Harry Cruse, Sr. and Grace Carey Cruse.

Virginia loved to crochet and do embroidery and worked at Spectrum Industries.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Darla Wiggins (Michael), and three grandchildren; John Wiggins (Emily), Eugenia Garbutt (Scott), and Jeremy Wiggins.  She is also survived by her brother Harry Cruse, Jr. and ten great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband William C. Mitchell, who was a WW I veteran.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor George Guinn officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of service.
