Twyla Joanne Scott

Twyla Joanne Scott, 65, passed away on October 10, 2025, in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. Twyla was born January 11, 1960, to William Etchison and Esther Wallace. Twyla loved to crochet, read, and spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She worked for the Sewing Factory in Clinton, Indiana, as well as the Sisters of Providence as a CNA, and the Vigo County School Corporation as a teacher’s assistant and a cook. Twyla loved to travel, especially to Tennessee, Destin, Florida, and Disney World. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Sanford Scott, they married July 15, 1977, two sons, Sanford Scott Jr. (Danielle) and Russell Scott (Amber), brothers, William Etchison (Becky), Mike Boerner (Susan), and Kevin Boerner (Margaret), grandchildren, Sanford III, Owen, Ansley, Jarrett, and Abby, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services for Twyla will be Wednesday October 15, 2025, at 1 pm in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Chris Wilbur will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery.
