Troy Allen Mitchell

Troy Allen Mitchell, 41, of West Terre Haute passed away Sunday September 4, 2016. He was employed with Elliott and Sons Auto Salvage at West Terre Haute. He was born April 1, 1975 in Terre Haute to George Mitchell and Debra "Sue" Elliott Mitchell. Survivors include: a daughter Shelby Mitchell and her companion Talon McClara; a son Trevor Mitchell; his mother Sue Mitchell; a brother and sister-in-law Daryl and Ronda Mitchell; a special niece Megan Mitchell and her fiancé David Howard; uncle and aunt Gilbert and Betty Bea Elliott; cousins Gilbert Lee Elliott Jr., Melissa Kanizer, and Robin Maurer; and special friends Jayson Wright, Gary and Sandi Eller, Rusty Maurer, and Den Parker Jr.. He was preceded in death by his father George Mitchell; grandparents Gilbert and Josephine Elliott and Walter and Alpha Mitchell; and uncle Dave Elliott. Troy enjoyed watching Nascar and spending time on the river with family and friends. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until service time Friday. Cremation has been arranged after services with burial of his ashes at a later date. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Goshen Fire Department with envelopes available in the funeral home.
