Selma M. Atterson

Selma M. Atterson, 91 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Springfield, Ohio.  She was born in Vigo County on March 15, 1932 to William McClain and Margaret Clark McClain.

Selma is survived by three children; Steven Atterson (Joyce), Monty Atterson, and Sarah Winn (John), as well as a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Atterson.  She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Atterson, Sr., a son, Harold “Woody” Atterson, Jr., her brother William McClain, and two sisters, Julia Lark and Sarah Robertson.

Funeral services were held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating.  Burial followed in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation was scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
