Rosemary (Ward) Joy

Rosemary Joy, 90, of Dennison, Illinois, passed away February 12, 2019 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.

She was born July 20, 1928 in Sullivan, Indiana to John Ward and Flossie Ward.

Rosemary worked as a winder for TRW, now known as Coil Sales. She loved to cook, crochet and garden. She was a big Saint Louis Cardinals fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph E. “Bud” Joy, who passed away December 14, 2007; siblings, Carrie, Lena, Bob, Leon, Lloyd, Alan and Frankie; and her son-in-law, Larry Hartman.

Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Reba Klyaic (Tony) and Diana Hartman; grandchildren, Lora Kelley (Keith), Melissa Smith (Chad), Wendy Hinkle (Willy) and Tim Hartman (Amy); great grandchildren, Keith II, Jacob, Jami, Harley, Dalton, Kyrsten, Cosettte and Annelise; great-great grandchildren, Keith III, Kaleb, Luna, Alba, Gwendolyn, Ernie II, Mason, Autumn and Daxton; brother-in-law, Bill Joy (Margie); and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with Pastor Jeff Augustus officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Dunlap Cemetery, Dennison, Illinois.
