Richard A. "Ricky" Swinford

Richard A. “Ricky” Swinford, 71 of West Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Clinton Gardens.  He was born in Paris, IL on September 15, 1947 to John Swinford and Norma Hickman Swinford.

Richard is survived by 8 sisters:  Sharon Wagner, Linda Jordan, Beverly Andrews, JoAnne Hixon, Barbara Holmes (Larry), Carla Wallace (Donnie), Gail Bryan, and Jan Clifton (Dan).  Also surviving are 2 brothers, Johnny Swinford (Holly) and Michael Swinford, as well as an aunt, Marcella Foncannon and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and also by his fiancée, Dee Ann Taylor.  His memberships include the West Terre Haute Young Men’s Club and AARP.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating.  Burial will follow in Barnhardt Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in the funeral home.
