Richard E. Bracken

Richard E. "Rick" Bracken, 60, of Terre Haute passed away at 4:50 a.m. Thursday June 29, 2017 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center at Terre Haute. He was born October 21, 1956 in Terre Haute to Richard L. Bracken and Virginia Fisher Bracken. Survivors include: two sisters Judith Cheesman and Dian Menke and her husband Gary all of Terre Haute; two brothers William Brock and his wife Phyllis and Max Bracken all of West Terre Haute; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rick was a graduate of State Laboratory High School in Terre Haute where he was a manager for the track team and basketball team. He also was a member of the band and played the trumpet as well as a member of the Key Club. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Rick May officiating. Cremation has been scheduled following services. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday. Burial of his ashes will be at a later date in Bethesda Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice with envelopes available in the funeral home.
