Paul Lee Wyrick, Sr., 88, of West Terre Haute, Indiana passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was born in West Terre Haute on August 1, 1937, to Clifford and Beulah (Bright) Wyrick.
Paul spent much of his life working as a route salesman for Colonial Bread and Bunny Bread before retiring as a distributor for Little Debbie Cakes. He was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature, forming lasting connections with those he met along his routes. At home, he found happiness in caring for his pets, woodworking, tinkering around the house and barn, always keeping his hands busy, and looking forward to family coming over.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara (Spencer) Wyrick, whom he married on July 19, 1958; their four children: Paul (Kate) Wyrick, Jr., Randy (Robin) Wyrick, Paula Kaye Smith, and Kelly Ann (Randy) Camp.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Justin (Stacey) Camp, Lynsey (Casey) Evans, Ethan (Jessica) Wyrick, Andrea (Brandon) Estes, Chelsea (Anthony) Barrios, Sarah (J.P.) Hartzler, Caitlyn (Jeremy) Humphrey, and Evan Wyrick; as well as 13 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Doris (Wyrick) Silcock, and several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Beulah (Bright) Wyrick; siblings: Ernie Wyrick, Lola (Wyrick) Correll, Freda (Wyrick) Campbell; and son-in-law, Tom Smith.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN, on Saturday, April 25th at 2:00PM, with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Burial will follow in Dunlap Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 25th from 12:00PM- 2:00PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
