 Patricia (Patsy) Nuttall  September 18, 1934-April 27, 2024

 

Patricia was born in Butler, Kentucky and moved to Terre Haute, Indiana with her Mother Dorothy Utz Dickerson as a young teen. 

She was a graduate of Glenn High School and has held many positions over the years. 

She retired from the Terre Haute Tribune Star as a district manager, during her time of employment there, she also served as The Terre Haute Newspaper Guild President . She decided retirement was not for her, then worked as kitchen manager for the Vigo County Sheriff’s department into her early 80’s. 

Her greatest joy was being a terrific mother, grandmother and a wonderful role model for all she considered her family.

 

Proceeding her in death was her sister, Betty Rhodes. Her Son Ronnie Barnes, and a daughter Liann Tabor.

 

She is survived by: Steve Barnes of Chattanooga TN, Pam Long(Hugh)  Terre Haute, Melinda Lors(Randy) Conneaut, OH, Kevin Nuttall( Jaymi,) of West Terre Haute.

13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The Utz family still residing in Kentucky, where she considered home, includes Dianne, Kim, Todd and Elmer (Kelly)

 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2024 at 7 pm at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.  The family would like to thank VNA/Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the exceptional care shown to Patricia during her illness.

Then at a later date her family will take her home to Kentucky.
