Nancy Lititia Neice

Nancy Lititia Neice, 76, of West Terre Haute passed away Monday, May 1, 2024, in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born November 18, 1947, in Terre Haute to Ernest Hay and Ada Jane Higginbotham.   She was a member of the West Side Christian Church.  She volunteered at the Providence Food pantry as well as The Helping Hands.  She worked as a mailroom supervisor for Indiana State University for 22 years and Rose Hulman Institute of Technology for 16 years. She loved to read and crochet.  She enjoyed watching hallmark movies and watched every episode of Columbo. Her passion was baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She liked to watch Pete Rose play baseball.  She loved her children and grandchildren and always cheered for them during baseball games.   

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harvey Neice, mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Jack Neice, brother; Bill Hay, brothers-in- law; John Neice, and Joe Ayala, sisters-in-law; Stella Schoffstall, Dibbie Ann Booker, Susie Neice, a nephew, Timothy Hay, and grandson, Matthew Neice.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Neice Hann (Bill), son, Harvey T Neice (Terri), siblings; Linda Lee Ayala, Timothy Byron Hay (Somi), Rennie Yarbrough (Donn), and Barb, grandchildren, Timothy, Elijah (Adrienne), Gunnar, and Blake, great granddaughter, Zoe, nieces; Tina (Mike), Tish, Kathy (Mino), Michelle (Mike), DJ, Tiffany, and Colleen, along with several great nieces and nephews.  

Services for Nancy will be on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 1 pm in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3^rd Street, West Terre Haute, 47885. Visitation is scheduled from 11 am to service time at the funeral home on Monday. The burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Pastor Chris Wilbur will officiate.  If friends so desire contributions can be made The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, the Alzheimer’s Association, and/or the West Side Christian Church.
