Michael Allen Wilguess Sr., 69, of West Terre Haute passed away at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday September 7, 2016 in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. He retired as a supervisor from Columbia House at Terre Haute after over thirty years of service. He was born January 20, 1947 at Terre Haute to John I. Wilguess and Mildred Ranney Wilguess. Survivors include: His wife of fifty one years, Ruth Ann Witty Wilguess, whom he married on August 29, 1965; a daughter Donna Robinson and her companion Mike Newburn; a son Mike Wilguess and his companion Beth Sapp; a brother and sister-in-law John and Nancy Wilguess; two sisters and brothers-in-law Sue and Don Fennell and Barbara and Tom Perkins; five grandchildren Josh Robinson (Abby), Jeremy Robinson (Katie), Justin Wilguess, Jesse Wilguess, and Shawn Wilguess; three great grandchildren Wyatt Robinson, Maddy Robinson, and Bodee Robinson; former son-in-law Dave Robinson; former daughter-in-law Misty Wilguess; two aunts Grace Puller and Helen Misner; an uncle Harry Ranney; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mike was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed watching any kind of sports and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing various sports. He also enjoyed going to casino's. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Joe Irwin officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites by the Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice, envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
