Michael Raymond Wiggins, age 70, of West Terre Haute, IN, went home to be with the Lord on September 14th, 2026. He was born on April 13th, 1956 to John & Marjorie Wiggins in Terre Haute, IN. He married his high school sweetheart Darla on May 7th, 1977 (49 years). He graduated from West Vigo High School in 1975. Mike worked at Pfizer in Terre Haute from where he retired after a 23-year career.
He invited Jesus into his heart early and faithfully devoted the rest of his life to studying the Bible, prayer, and worship. Mike was a member of Sold Rock Baptist Church in Clinton, Indiana. His faith, built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ, was molded in his character, shared with many, and left as a heritage to his family. He loved to sing and play guitar in an act of worship to God, but also for others to enjoy classic gospel and country music. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and canoeing. He especially loved hikes at Indiana State Parks and visiting many area covered bridges. Over the years, he walked hundreds of miles in fellowship with Jesus and his beloved children, grandchildren, and friends.
Mike had a beautiful soul and personality. The fruits of his life evidenced through kindness and gentleness led him to pursue others with a smile, a wave, and conversation. Every stranger was an opportunity to befriend and share with them the gospel of Jesus. He loved his family dearly from his wife, his mother and father, brother, sons and daughter, along with his many grandchildren. He would want nothing more than for his family and friends to accept Jesus for their Salvation and to join him in heaven one day.
His favorite scripture was John 3:16, which serves as an invitation … “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Today and for eternity, Mike is still singing and playing guitar for his King, hiking the highest hills with believing family and friends, and having conversation with Jesus face to face.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife Darla of 49 years, mother Marjorie Wiggins, brother Mark Wiggins, son John M. (Emily) Wiggins, daughter Eugenia (Scott) Garbutt, son Jeremy (Victoria) Wiggins.
