Maximillain Christopher Eugene Cherry

Maximillain Christopher Eugene Cherry, 43, of Terre Haute passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Max was born February 11, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio to John Mims and Rochelle Marie Cherry.

He worked in construction and was employed at Lenex Steel. Max enjoyed being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Delores M. Cherry, who passed away in 2009.

Max is survived by his mother; the love of his life, Jami Abrams; his four children, Christopher Cherry, Uniquee Cherry, Jaylee Cherry and Kynslee Cherry; his brother, Shonte Gordon; his sister, Tasha Cherry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In honor of Max’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at The Bridge Church, 1901 8th Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana; with a Gathering of Friends and Family from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pastor Barry Briley will be officiating. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for Max’s children. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana assisted with care and arrangements.
