Mary Margaret “Peggy” Llewellyn

Peggy Fry Llewellyn, 94, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on November 25, 2021 due to complications of Post-Polio Syndrome.  She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John A. Fry, Sr. and Mable Mills Fry on November 3, 1927.  Peggy was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 65 years, Dr. Ralph “Ed” Llewellyn; brothers, Marvin Fry, William Fry, and Jack Fry; and sisters by marriage, Betty Fry, Joann Llewellyn, and Martha Llewellyn Lowry.

Survivors include Peggy’s children, Dr. David A. Llewellyn, Susan Llewellyn Marr & husband William E. Marr, and Dr. Gary L. Llewellyn & wife Debra Stebbins Llewellyn; eight grandchildren, Landon Llewellyn & wife Lacy Porter Llewellyn, Devon Llewellyn, Elaina Llewellyn, Clayton Marr & wife Maryann Weiss Marr, Caroline Marr Whitehouse & husband Daniel Whitehouse, Stephen Wild, Chris Wild, and Annie Llewellyn; eight great-grandchildren, James Llewellyn, Madison Migneron, Lilly Migneron, Paul Marr, CoraAnn Marr, Barrett Marr, William Whitehouse, and Madelyn Whitehouse; brother, Richard L. Fry; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a graduate of the former Glenn High School in 1945. Later, she attended Indiana State Teachers College where she was a member of Alpha Phi, Gamma Gamma.  Peggy enjoyed being a member of The League of Terre Haute, Tri Kappa, Tobies, Sycamore A’s, and the Special Interest Car Club and loved spending time with her family, friends, and pets.

A special thanks to the staff at Westminster Village, Hands That Serve, and Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the love and care they provided Peggy, especially this past year.

Cremation is scheduled with private burial at a later date.  We request that if you wish to send flowers, please send them to your loved ones.  If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society or Hospice of the Wabash Valley.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
