Mary Catherine "Kathy" Bryan

Mary Catherine (Anderson) Bryan, 73 of rural Paris, IL and formerly of West Terre Haute, IN passed away on January 6, 2024.  She was born on July 18, 1950 in Terre Haute, IN to Paul and Evelyn (Forster) Anderson.  She graduated West Vigo class of 1968.

Mary Catherine “Kathy” married Tommy Bryan May 29, 1969.  Together they had 3 children who survive; Mandi Akers (Jim Brown), Heather Hinkle, and Jason Bryan (Kelley Christenberry).  They also have 9 grandchildren; Jessica Higgins (Jeff), Jana Spires (Jesse), Josey Wolfe (Jacob), Taylor Bryan, Garrett Hinkle, Bryan Hinkle, Cody Hinkle, Shelby Hinkle, and Evan Bryan,13 great grandchildren, and her siblings; Marilyn Hixon (Jerry), Cynthia Phelps (Steve), and Ken Anderson (Ken), brother-in-law, David Bryan (Karen), sister-in-law Pam Bryan, and a lifetime friend, Shawn May, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mary Catherine “Kathy” is preceded in death by her husband Tommy and her parents.

Mary Catherine “Kathy” became a beautician in 1982 and continued that for many years.  In 2006 she became an LPN at the age of 54.  She worked in Long Term Healthcare for many years before retiring to take care of Tommy full time.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3^rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM (Indiana time), with Sean Pruiett officiating.  Burial will follow in New Providence Cemetery in rural Paris, IL.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Indiana time) in the funeral home.
