Martha T. "Marti" Wright

It is with the heaviest heart that we announce the passing of Martha “Marti” T Wright, age 71. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 28, 1953, she was the daughter of Charles and Francis Koehler. Marti was a devoted wife to Buck Wright for 50 years. She was a loving mother to Amy Murphy and Lora Kane and a caring mother-in-law to Jason Kane and Tim Murphy. Marti’s most precious things in life were her five grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. Marti found joy in cheering for her grandchildren in all of their activities and life accomplishments, spending time on the river fishing as well as time in the garden with her husband. She enjoyed listening to and sharing her love of music with her daughters. Marti also loved to mow the grass. She will be remembered for her deep love and devotion to all of her family. She is survived by her husband, Buck; her daughter Amy and her husband Tim Murphy; her daughter Lora and her husband Jason Kane; and her grandchildren Krista Kane, Erin Murphy, Hailey Kane, Sean Murphy, and Joe Kane and several loving family members. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 6pm with Pastor Glen Robyne officiating. Visitations will be held from 3pm-6pm at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home 220 N. 3rd St. West Terre Haute, IN, 47885. In keeping with Marti’s wishes cremation will follow. The family requests that in leu of flowers donations be made to The Helping Hands in West Terre Haute in memory of Marti and her giving heart.
