Marlin Porter "Marty" Webb

Marlin Porter “Marty” Webb, 59 of West Terre Haute, IN passed away on October 1, 2026 in IU Health University. He was born on May 15, 1967 in Garden City, MI to Robert D. Webb and Bertha Comis Webb.

Marty grew up on a family farm in Kentucky where he raised chickens and pigs. He sold eggs as a young boy to help his family survive. Marty was a great giver and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it.

Marty took college courses in Biblical studies. Marty loved the Lord and His Bible. Marty was an expert tile setter for many years. He was also an arborist, roofer, construction worker, landscaper, and drove small equipment.

Marty fell in love with his wife Anita 25 years ago at Staples Distribution Center where they both operated forklifts together.

Marty is survived by his wife Anita Otte Webb, his daughter Naomi Webb, his three sons Porter Webb, John Halter, and Casey Halter. Also surviving is his mother Bertha Webb, and two sisters, Trela Slayden and Sharon Markby, as well as his two brothers Michael Webb (Oscar) and Randle Webb (Debbie), as well as his eight grandchildren; Aleya, Reese, Ryder, Khaleel, Rylan, Odin, Jayden, and Liam, his mother-in-law Linda Otte, and three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert D. Webb, his father-in-law Lewin L. Otte, and his brother-in-law Dwayne Slayden.

Visitation for Marty will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 11:00 AM -12 Noon, with a private burial to follow.
