Lynda Joyce Moss

Lynda Joyce Moss, 80, passed away July 16, 2026, in Town Park Senior Living in Brazil, Indiana. She was born August 11, 1945, in Vigo County to Harold Certain Sr. and Marion Joy Hamilton Certain. She worked as a housekeeper at Indiana State University. She was a farm girl at heart, growing up on the family farm, taking care of all the livestock, being a member of 4H, and spending all her time outside earned her the title of country girl. She also was a member of the Sugar Creek Home Economics Club. Her family was everything to her, she loved to spend time and take care of her family. She was the Mother, Grandmother, Banker, Taxi, and Grocer of the family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Harold Certain Jr.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Evans, Patty McKinney (Don), and Rick Russell-Moss (Ova), sister, Teresa Moore (Ron), sister in law, Dottie Certain, grandchildren, Brandon McKinney, Tommy McKinney, Mackayla Russell-Moss, Nancy Sadler, Amber Crabb, and Victor Crabb Jr., great grandchildren, Zoe McKinney, Sebastian McKinney, Cody Wyrick, and Jason Wyrick Jr. along with nephews, Matt and Tony Certain.

Graveside services for Lynda will be Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11 am EST in Dunlap Cemetery. Fitzpatrick Funeral home was entrusted with care and arrangements.
