Louise (Holycross) Hughes

Louise Holycross Hughes, 90 of Marshall, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 10:30 PM at Methodist Hospital IU Health in Indianapolis.  She was born in Cayuga, IN on November 26, 1927 to Tillman J. Holycross and Thelma Shelton Holycross.

Louise is survived by four daughters:  Ramona Marie West (companion Frank D. Boatman) of West Terre Haute, Penny Ormiston (husband Steven) of Ohio, Dallas Beasley (husband Curtis) of Decatur, IL, and Mary Ann Graham of Terre Haute.  She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas L. Hughes, as well as two children, Eddie Hughes and Christina Hughes.

Louise was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 5975 in Marshall, IL.  She loved her “babies”, and enjoyed gardening, canning, and crocheting.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 12 Noon, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating.  Burial will follow at the Veterans National Cemetery in Danville, IL.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 10 AM – 12 Noon on Friday at the funeral home.
