LINDA ERNEST MIKE SHAHADEY

Our beloved Linda Ernest Mike Shahadey, affectionately known as “Sitty”, 92 years old, of Terre Haute, Indiana, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, @ 7:21 P.M., in Union Hospital - ICU located in Terre Haute, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on February 12, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky, and was the third of seven children born to the late Ernest Mike and Mary Raffoul Mike.

Linda will be sadly missed by her beloved children: Denise Lynn Shahadey Issa (George); Farris Joseph Shahadey+ (Dawn); Frank Edward Shahadey (Paula); Sub. Dn. Charles Shahadey, Jr.; Michael Anthony Shahadey (Missy); John David Shahadey and Linda Renee (Lynn) Shahadey (Trent); her beloved grandchildren: Christina Lynn Issa Jabbour (Melhem); Amy Michelle Issa; Andrea Dawn Shahadey Greenwell (Justin); Elias Joseph Shahadey; Logan Charles Shahadey (Hailee); Devin Royce Maurer (Laura); Jordan Meridith Shahadey (Austin); Keaton Michael Shahadey (Anarka); Taylor Rae Shahadey Hunter (Ian); Robert Lee Kelson (Shardavia); Noah Charles Shahadey; Adam Michael Shahadey and Kadin Christopher Bell; her beloved great-grandchildren: Jonah Christopher Jabbour; Jorgio Salim Jabbour; Juliana Christina Jabbour; Jeana Marie Jabbour; Jaynnah Theodora Jabbour; Jiyana Sofia Jabbour; Payton Dawn Shahadey; Aneka Suzanne Maurer (Brayden); Marlee Jo Maurer; Maizy Jane Maurer; Joelle Kelson and Jelani Kelson; her siblings: Jamella Ernest Mike+; Albert Ernest Mike+ (Shirley Ann Metry Mike+); Nellie “Na” Ernest Mike Safford; Johnny Ernest Mike+ (Nora Simbol Mike); Elizabeth “Liz” Mike (Samir+); Eli Ernest Mike (Susan); her in-laws: Frank F. Shahadey+ (Sarah Shaheen Shahadey+); Corrine “Kreme” Shahadey Mareena+ (Albert+); Rose Shahadey Farah+ (James “Jimmy” Farah+); Helen Shahadey+; Louise Shahadey+; Alice Marie Shahadey+; Mike F. Shahadey+ (Beverly Rassie Shahadey+) and Eva Shahadey+; her nieces and nephews: Ernest John (EJ) Mike+ (Kelly); Albert Joseph “Joey” Mike (Carol); Mary Jean Mike Ciresi (Garry); David Jorge Mike (Shannon); Michelle Marie Mike Nicholas (James+); Joshua Eli Mike; Jonathon Noah Mike (Joanna); Amira Catherine Mike; Zaina Ann Mike; Joseph Albert Mike; Zachary James Mike and Luke Isaac Nicholas and a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends, too numerous to mention, which she dearly loved.

Linda was married to Charles F. Shahadey, who preceded her in death. Linda was born into a very large family and she enjoyed spending family time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, cousins, family and friends. After raising her children, Linda obtained her GED at 42 yrs. of age, received her Cosmetology Degree,

worked at Sears & Roebuck and later as a Nail Tech.

Linda was an excellent cook, a gifted artist, crocheted blankets, and for years, she made Holy Oblation for St. Michael’s Orthodox Church. Linda will be forever remembered as being articulate, possessed a wealth of knowledge and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Linda was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Orthodox Church located in Louisville, Kentucky and after her marriage to Charles, Linda became a lifelong member of St. George Orthodox Church located in Terre Haute, Indiana and was a member of the Ladies Society until her health declined.

Linda’s Visitation will be @ 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., on Friday, September 18, 2026, until the time of the Funeral @ 11:00 A.M. @ St. George Orthodox Church located at 1900 S. 4th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, with Rev. Fr. Habib Antonious Ghantous, Rev. Fr. Peter Jon Gilchrist, Rev. Archdn. Elias Corey, Sub. Dn. Charles Shahadey, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers include: Keaton Michael Shahadey; Devin Royce Maurer; Elias Joseph Shahadey; Logan Charles Shahadey; Kadin Christopher Bell; Noah Charles Shahadey; Ian Matthew Hunter; David Jorge Mike. Honorary Pallbearers include: Dr. Melhem Jabbour; Adam Michael Shahadey and Albert Joseph “Joey” Mike. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church, 1900 S. 4th Street, Terre Haute, IN, 47807. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
