Linda Lou Frances Jackson

Linda Lou Frances Jackson, 79 of West Terre Haute, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.  She was born in New Waverly, IN on December 21, 1944 to Homer Austin and Minnie Reames Austin.

Linda was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and enjoyed supporting her friends when they would travel to sing in local nursing homes.  She liked hunting mushrooms and always looked forward to this time of year, and loved all animals, especially cats and was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Linda is survived by two children, Jim Cochran (Anna) and Kelly McGlone (Dan), as well as eight grandchildren; Jimmy Cochran, Brandy Brunett, Johnny Cochran, Alex McGlone, Maryanne McGlone, Elizabeth McGlone, John McGlone, and Laura Jackson, as well as several great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Dallas Jackson.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM in St. Benedict Catholic Church, with Father Bob St. Martin officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the church.   In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow services.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley, in her memory.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
