Kevin Willard Lee Sollars

May 8, 1976 — March 3, 2017

Kevin Willard Lee Sollars, 40, of West Terre Haute was taken far too soon to join our Lord in Heaven on Friday March 3, 2017. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, father, brother, and friend. Kevin was a heavy equipment operator for the Local Union 841 Operating Engineers since 1997. He loved his family and children. Kevin enjoyed the outdoors, his family farm and cattle, joking and playin' around. Kevin enjoyed life. He had dreams and ambitions to raise his children to also be lifelong 4-H members and to enjoy the outdoors, as he did. Kevin was a good friend who would be there for anyone in need. He will also be remembered as "D9" (his demolition derby car name). Kevin was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. He was also a very proud grandfather. Kevin will be deeply missed. He was born May 8, 1976 in Terre Haute to Willard "Junior" and Carol McCombs Sollars. Kevin is survived by his wife Lisa Sollars and his children; Jon and his wife Carly Beal and their children; Addison and Cooper Beal. Elizabeth Beal, Zoie Sollars, Koby Sollars, and Kolsyn Sollars. His parents; Willard "Junior" and Carol McCombs Sollars. His brother Tony and his wife Audra Sollars and their children; Briar and Gabe Sollars. His brother Troy and his wife Beth Sollars and their children; Kyra Havens, Brady Cole, Kaitlyn Sollars, and Ryan Shaw. And several other family members. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Leek officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Sollars Memorial Fund which is set up for his three youngest children with envelopes available in the funeral home.
