Kenneth Eugene Morris

Kenneth E. Morris, 78 of West Terre Haute, passed away in Union-Regional Hospital on September 13th, 2026. He was born on December 5th, 1947, to William E. Morris and Elsie Mae Morris.

Ken retired after 43 years as a maintenance man at Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. He was known for loving animals, maybe even more than people, and had a beloved dog named Bandit for 10 years. He loved to play music and sing karaoke. Ken was in many bands over the years playing guitar. But most of all, Ken loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids who knew him as Papaw Bandit.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents William E. Morris and Elsie Morris (Beasley); as well as a sister Brenda Sue Morris.

He is survived by his children Melody Vester of Terre Haute, Lisa Collester (Mike) of Rosedale, James Morris (Teresa) of West Terre Haute, and Ken Morris (Betty) of Terre Haute; as well as fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

In keeping with Ken’s wishes cremation has been chosen. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
