Kenneth “Ken” Ross Lawrence, 82, of West Terre Haute passed away, May 21, 2025, in Union Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute on August 27, 1942, to Charles R. Lawrence and Anna Lee Smith Lawrence. Ken worked for Chesty Foods and Coca-Cola. He worked and retired from Hostess Cake where he became known as the “Cake Man”. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, and loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed trap shooting. He was a member of the local 135 for 30+ years. He absolutely loved spending time with his family, especially when they could play cards and dominoes. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, infant daughter, Theresa Lynn, brothers, Russell, Leroy, Max, and Martin, and a sister Rosemary Ellinger. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Jeri Lynn Ramey Lawrence, children , Kevin, and his wife Jan, Angela Millar and her husband, Adam, and Greg and his wife, Jamie, sisters, Carole Rost, and Barbara Ellinger, grandchildren, Lyndsay, and her husband, Larry, Kylie, Rachel and her husband, Kurtis, Danyel and her husband, Ryan, Adam, Kara and her husband, Curtis, Ciera and her husband Stephen, Noah, Harlie, Morgan, and Thomas, and great grandchildren, Addison, Amariah, Iris, Laykn, Karlie, Kolten, Samuel, Maddison, Daniel, Archer, Ryder, Mercy, Amelia, Isaac, Grace, Kennedy, Norah, Dylan Jean, Mason, Jackson, and Carson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 26, 2025 at 1:00pm in Fitzpatrick funeral home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885. Visitation is scheduled from 11 AM until service time on Monday. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Nephew Danny McAdams will officiate.
