Joseph Glenn Hicks

Joseph Glenn Hicks, 65, of rural Paris, IL passed away at 1:46 a.m. est at his home. He was born February 23, 1952 to Emil and Jean Hicks. He was a 1970 Graduate of Paris High School. He retired from Eli Lilly at Clinton after thirty three years of service. He is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Carolee Johns Hicks; step-sons Dennis Potts (Brenda) of Cincinatti, OH, and Michael Potts of Terre Haute; three grandkids Alexa, Dmitrii, and Haley Potts; a sister and brother-in-law Susan and Jim Crain of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; a brother-in-law Gary Johns of Longwood, FL; a special cousin Betty Ann Stalnecker (Clarence), along with other cousins, nieces, and nephews. He leaves behind his 1952 8N Ford tractor which he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. (Indiana Time) Sunday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN with Pastor Dan Garner officiating. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery. Visitation times will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Indiana Time) Saturday and also from 12:00 noon until service time Sunday. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Patton United Methodist Church or Faith In Action with envelopes available in the funeral home.
