John Frederick Wright

John Frederick Wright, 74 of Clinton, IN and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away at 3:05 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Springhill Village.  He was born in Terre Haute on July 21, 1945 to John C. Wright and Helen Scarbrough Wright.

John retired from Lithonia Lighting in Crawfordsville and was a member of IBEW Local # 668.  He was also a member of Faith Wesleyan Church in Terre Haute.  He enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and attending church.

John is survived by two children; Wanda Ramie (Steve Ehrie) and Melvin Springer, as well as three grandchildren; Sandy Ingram (Dude), Brook LaFontain (Scott), and Tracy Ramie (John McRoberts).  He is also survived by three brothers; Clyde Wright (Rebecca), Ray Wright (Starla), and Don Wright (Jennifer), as well as four sisters; Anna Spitler (Charles), Rita Gormong (Larry), Freda Tarrh (Alan), and Carol Lee.  He is also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dallie Thomas Wright in 1986 as well as two sisters; Lois Young and Polly Rector., and a great grandson Kaleb Smith.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 12 Noon, with Pastor Matthew Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery near Crawfordsville.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon at the funeral home.
