John William Robertson

John William Robertson, 80 of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 5:38 AM at Signature Healthcare.  He was born in Rockville, IN on September 1, 1938 to Henry L. Robertson, Sr. and Flossie Crystal Stableton Robertson.

John is survived by his wife Karen Joan Yoho Robertson, whom he married September 14, 1957.  Also surviving is a son, John W. Robertson II, and a sister, Mary F. Louden.  Other family members surviving include Sharon and Robert Craft and Alice Robertson, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, a daughter, Roxanna “Roxie” Robertson—who passed away September 18, 2018, as well as 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

John was a 1957 graduate of Mecca High School, and had previously worked at Mineweld Company, Lovelace Trucking, Preston Trucking 151, and Teamsters Local # 135.  He was also a licensed Auctioneer and Surveyor and was a veteran of the Air National Guard having served from 1950 -1963, while serving in active duty 1961-1962.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 12 Noon, with Pastor Randy Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon at the funeral home.
