Jerry Wayne Moss died peacefully in his home on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was born June 29, 1943 in West Terre Haute, IN to Herschel Moss and Dorothy Bolin Moss. He graduated from West Vigo High School in 1961. Jerry was a skilled carpenter, employed by and a member of Carpenter's local #133 where he served as Business Agent in the 1970's. Jerry loved watching sports, playing cards and building things from wood. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time hunting and fishing. He had an infectious laugh and good sense of humor. He previously attended Pleasant Valley Church in Praire Creek. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, father, his companion Gina Cavins and nephew Kevin Moss. His surviving family members include his daughter Jennifer Ahen and her husband Abdulhameed Ahen of Doha, Qatar; his son Jerry Matthew Moss and partner Lisa Telles of Los Angeles, CA, his grandchildren Kauthar Ahen and her husband Ahmad AlMansoor and their son Khalifa, Sharifa Ahen, Fatima Ahen, Aljazi Ahen, Ali Ahen, Mohammed Ahen all of Doha, Qatar and Ashley Moss of LA, his brother James "Jim" Moss and his wife Karen of West Terre Haute and their children Scott Moss and wife Lisa, Molly Herb and her husband Rodney, his brother Tim Moss and his sister Connie Pitner and her daughters Jamie Pitner and Amie Sperring and her husband Jeff, and his former wife and mother of his children, Susan Kosco Wilbur. Funeral services are scheduled at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute with visitation on Wednesday February 10th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 11th with Pastor Larry Snyder presiding followed by burial in Dunlap Cemetery.
