Jean Ann Scott, 58, of West Terre Haute passed away peacefully in her home at 9:00 p.m. Saturday November 11, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was born November 22, 1958 at Terre Haute to John Drue Scott and Rose Jane Foradori Scott.
Survivors include: her mother Rose Scott; five siblings Dr. John R. Scott and his wife Gloria of Indianapolis, IN, Nancy Scott-Olson and her husband Don of South Bend, IN, Daniel Scott of San Francisco, CA, Rosemarie Scott and her husband Michael Worrell of Terre Haute, and Maribeth Scott and her boyfriend Greg Seger of Terre Haute; eleven nieces and nephews Dr. Whitney Scott Blanton, Zach Scott, Kimber Sorenson-Brugh, Leif Sorenson, Drue Worrell, Merideth Worrell, Ike Worrell, Landon Worrell, Drake Worrell, Rose Jones, and Amber Hagemeir; many great nieces and great nephews; two aunts; and numerous cousins including the Hodgers, Evelo's, Foradori's, Welsh's, and Steppe's; and her beloved dog Coco. She was preceded in death by her father; her step-father Bill Samm, and brother Phillip Scott.
Jean Ann was a graduate of West Vigo High School class of 1978. She enjoyed playing with her nieces and nephews in their youth, always enjoyed spending time with them, and always took pride in their accomplishments. She had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh.
Mass Of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2405 S. 7th St., Terre Haute with Father Dan Bedel officiating. There will also be a Celebration Of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute with Sister Joan Slobig, S.P. officiating. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until service time Saturday in the funeral home. Cremation has been scheduled after all services. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date in Bethesda Memorial Park.
