Janet Sue Layton Gill

Janet Sue Layton Gill, 55, of Terre Haute passed away at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday February 15, 2017 in Union Hospital. She was born August 16, 1961 to Dean A. Layton and Lucy M. Cox Layton. Survivors include: Her Husband Wyatt Anthony "Tony" Gill whom she married on July 30, 1999; her mother Lucy Layton of West Terre Haute; three brothers Michael Layton (Karen) of Mattoon, IL, Jerry Layton, and Dennis Layton (Cindy) all of West Terre Haute; a special nephew Scott Layton (Mary); a special friend Diana Sanquenetti; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and her two furry babies Autumn and Robbie. She was preceded in death by her father Dean A. Layton, a sister Cyndi Layton, a brother James Allen Layton, her grandparents, and a nephew Jeremy Layton. She was a graduate of West Vigo High School and Indiana Business College and had been a member of the Patton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, and crafts and loved being around people. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm. Tuesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Staci Tomich officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Janet Gill Memorial Fund with envelopes available.
