James G. Fagg

James G. "Jim" Fagg, 70, of Farmersburg passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 8, 2016 after a long battle with ALS. He was born December 11, 1945 at Terre Haute, IN to Richard Fagg and Marie Funkhouser Fagg. He was in the first graduating class of West Vigo High School in 1963. After high school he worked at Pepsi Cola, RC Cola, and Coinco before becoming a Vigo County Sherrif from 1971-1979 where he retired as a Sergeant. He then worked in the trucking/transportation industry for twenty seven years then took a job in the maintenance department at UAP Clinic until retiring in 2015. Jim leaves behind his wife of forty six years, Kathy Wheat Fagg; and his children, son Jimmy Fagg and his fiancé Julie Brand; daughter Leah Grise and her husband Chris, and son Ryan Fagg and his wife Stacey; eleven grandchildren including Travis Fagg (Heather), AJ Fagg (Brittany), Jennifer Switzer (Chris), Lucas Fagg, Raigen Bailey, Dillon Bailey, Maddox Grise, Conner Brown, Leah Brown, Jacob Fagg, and Ethan Fagg; seven great grandchildren Gavin, Felix, Parker, Kinley, Kamden, Emma, and Jhett; Three brothers Richard, Gary, and Wiliford Fagg; and a sister Almary Freeman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
