West Terre Haute, IN - Jim passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 18th.

He was born on October 2, 1946 in Terre Haute, IN. His parents were Hubert A. and Frances L.

(Pantle) Turner.

He graduated from Garfield High School in 1964 and through his high school years he

delivered the the morning Tribune paper in his neighborhood. After he graduated he was very

proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corp. 1965 - 1969. He was in the HMM-361 Unit in

Vietnam and after he was discharged he joined the Reserve Force 1969 - 1971.

After returning to Terre Haute in 1970 he went to work at Hydro-Power, Inc. as an Industrial

Salesman for 39 years. He then went to work for Wabash Valley Motors until he retired.

Jim was an avid reader, loved word puzzles, documentaries and history stories on

television. He enjoyed collecting U.S. Marine memorabilia and working in the yard. Most of all

he enjoyed spending time at Ft. Myers Beach, FL.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Hubert A, Turner, mother Frances L. Turner, James

R. Bennett, Sr., brother, Jack A. Turner, and sister-in-law Georgia Turner.

Survived by his wife, Susie (Marlena) Lark-Bennett: sons: Bart McCarty, Greg McCarty;

brothers: Steve Turner, Don Turner (Tammy) : sisters, Sharon Burson (Vic), and Lori Miller (Tom).

Half brothers: Mark Bennett (Avis), and Tom Bennett (Karen). Half sisters: Janet Melton (Bill),

Carol Turk (John), and Vicki Noyes, and aunt, Evadene Crummin. Brother-in-law Bill Lark,

sister-in-law, Linda Turner. Many nieces and nephews, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-

grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jameria and his very caring staff, Terre Haute Veterans

Clinic, Providence Health Care, and Hospice of the Wabash Valley.

In honoring his wishes there will be no funeral services. Cremation was entrusted to
