Jack D. Fields

Jack D. Fields, 79 of Dennison, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in his residence.  He was born in Terre Haute on August 27, 1944 to Leroy Fields and Waunita Candler Fields.

Jack was a member of West Terre Haute First Baptist Church and Teamsters Local # 135.  He was a 1962 graduate of West Vigo High School, he loved to hunt and fish, and could fix anything as he was very mechanically inclined.

Jack is survived by his wife Lynnette Brown Fields, whom he married May 9, 1965 and four children; Karen Fields, Kathleen Lammert (Joe), Jack D. Fields, II (Terri), and Jason Wade Fields, and four grandchildren; Lukas Parker (Allison), Nickolas Parker (Hannah Lewis), Collin Fields (Lexi), and Kyndall Fields as well as nine great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Augustus, a special friend, Jim Ricketts, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Paul Augustus.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jeff Augustus officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM  and again on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, please pass along a random act of kindness to honor his memory.
