Itha "Ike" Darlene (Joy) McCalister

Itha “Ike” Darlene Joy McCalister, 67 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 6:35 PM in her residence.  She was born in Terre Haute on August 15, 1951 to James Joy and Virginia Hedden Joy.

“Ike” is survived by her children:  James McCalister (fiance’ Donna King), Virginia “Sis” McCalister, Exie Myles, and Jeff Thomas.  Also surviving are four grandchildren:  Austin Cunningham, Elanee Smith, Katelynn Myles, and Justin Myles.  She is also survived by her siblings:  Stanley Joy, Edward “Bad Boy” Joy (Vickie), Ronnie Joy, Sarah Joy, Connie Woods, Exie Dickerson (Jack), Mary Evans, and Melody Ordway (Matt).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert McCalister, sons Robert McCalister and Bobby McCalister, a sister, Linda Anderson, and brothers Robert Joy and Delbert “Ponch” Joy.

Graveside services will be held at Bethesda Memorial Park on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM, with her brother, Ed Joy officiating, with burial to follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
