Isabella Marie Ann Thomas

Isabella “Izzy” Thomas, 6, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Terre Haute on November 30, 2019 to Shawn Thomas and Megan Cagle.

Izzy attended Sugar Creek Consolidated Elementary School and West Side Christian Church. She loved being around people & was very social. She enjoyed swimming & loved to win at everything she did, but most importantly, she loved Jesus.

Izzy is survived by her parents, her “Mimi” who raised her, Helen Elkins, brothers Mason Elliott and Matt Elliott, and her sister Kendra McConnell. She is also survived by best friends Tracy Bays and Kari Beattie, and a very close friend who was like another Grandma to her, “Miss” Jan Bowman. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Rose Thomas and great grandmother Patricia Fields.

Funeral services will be held at West Side Christian Church, 126 North 8th St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to West Side Christian Church, in Izzy’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
