Frederick Wayne Wood

Frederick Wayne Wood, 82 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in his residence.  He was born in Martinsville, Illinois on December 7, 1941 to Frederick Clinton Wood and Katherine Rose Baird Wood.

Frederick enjoyed Bass fishing and served as past president of the West Terre Haute Bass Club, and loved watching IU and ISU.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Frederick is survived by his wife Maggie Wood, whom he married July 29, 1966 and two children, Scott Wood (Janet) and Kellie Wellum (Jeff).  He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen, with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, in his memory.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
