Frances Hagemeyer

Frances Hagemeyer, 94 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Providence Healthcare at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She was born in Stendal, Indiana on August 19, 1931.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Hagemeyer. She is survived by her son Phillip David Hagemeyer and his wife Jan, her son Rex Hagemeyer and his wife Jennifer, and her daughter Robin Roxann Hagemeyer and her husband Rolando Queyquep. Frances is also survived by several grandchildren, Stephanie Hagemeyer Harris (Adam), Dr. Zac Hagemeyer (Stephanie), Lizzie Callecod, Sara Callecod, and great-grandchildren, Daxton Harris and Liv Hagemeyer.

Frances and Phillip owned and operated Hagemeyer’s Market in West Terre Haute for over 25 years and enjoyed giving back to their community. Frances was a member of Westside Christian Church and volunteered weekly at the Providence Food Pantry for many years.

Frances loved all animals big and small, and the family requests that In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society in her memory.

Friends and family can reminisce and share stories about Frances on Monday, December 22 from 12 - 2PM at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home at 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, Indiana. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, December 22, 2025 at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
