Elaine M. (Lewis) Beatty

Elaine M. Beatty, 70 of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:00 AM on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Signature Healthcare.  She was born in Danville, IL on October 6, 1949 to Milton Lewis and Ileen Logan Lewis.

Elaine worked as a nurse for over 30 years, and loved to sew, make quilts, and do various crafts.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Beatty, and two children; Bethey Jo Walden and Stephen Meers.  She is also survived by 2 brothers; Thomas Lewis and Michael Lewis, and a sister, Helen Jones.  She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Ashley B. Conder, Mark S. Cheesman, III, Hope N. Collier, Paige M. Medlin, Brian Potter, and Brianne Meers, as well as three great grandchildren; Lillian Collier, Layla Collier, and Karson Roach.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patti Medlin.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date in Deming Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
