She also had two “grands” through the exchange student program, Jack and Estella.
Dorothy worked many careers, and she retired as a Supervisor of Housekeeping over Sandison Complex at Indiana State University.
Dorothy was a generous soul who loved to give to her family and community. She came from scarce beginnings but through hard work and her loving husband she got to live the dream of giving her grandchildren what she never had. Being a grandma and Nanna grew a love she never imagined.
Dorothy was famous for her pigs in the blanket, potato salad and ham salad, she takes the recipes with her.
Walmart will surely see a second quarter drop in profits, as Dorothy loved to go to Walmart.
Later in life, she would find extended family in the Hann’s. We are so grateful for their welcoming acceptance.
She was well known as Aunt Doc to all her nieces and nephews, and she got such pleasure from making Christmas Candy with them every year.
Dorothy’s life had many stages and many challenges but for fifty-one years she held tight to Jim and her family and faced every one of them head on and with a fighting spirit.
She has promised to visit in our dreams and asked for all to say a prayer for her.
